Alentejo
Alentejo, or “beyond the Tagus”, the longest river in the Iberian Peninsula. A wine region with a great tradition, it enjoys both the privileges that mother nature has bestowed on it (the varied soils and continuous exposure to the sun) and the fruits of human intervention (selected vines and innovative winemaking methods). This, at least, is what the experts' manuals say. As Explorers, though, we can’t just take this for granted, and so we went to see for ourselves. The result: we discovered all this (and more) is true.
