Finca Descalzos Viejos
In Andalusia, the tradition of winemaking runs tenaciously and proudly through the veins of its inhabitants and, to no lesser degree, in those of Flavio Salesi, an Italo-Argentine-Spanish man, who purchased Finca Descalzos Viejos in 1998. The grounds of the estate still host an ancient Trinitarian monastery dating back to 1505, and whose austere energy pervades the entire holding: arriving intact from the vineyard, right through to each of the 40,000 bottles produced there. Uncork one, and you will feel it in your glass.
